The historic Royal Gorge Railroad leaves Canon City, Colorado, and follows the Arkansas River for the twelve miles to the Royal Gorge Bridge, the world's highest suspension bridge. This is something you don't need to miss if you are anywhere near the area. Canon City is about two hours south of Denver.
